The original FPS from Ape Apps returns using retro software raycasting rendering technology!

Death 3D Classic is a remake of Death 3D using the Raycast Studio engine from Ape Apps, returning the game to a graphical rendering technique that was used in the beta of the original Death 3D before it was converted to WebGL. The software based raycasting engine has been greatly expanded and now features dynamic lighting, particle effects, anaglyphic 3d capabilities, functional mirrors and more!

Ultimately, Death 3D classic's purpose was to be a tech/engine demo for Raycast Studio, and it does show off many of the features available for potential raycast game authors using that product. However, it also features many improvements over the classic Death 3D experience, including updated weapon textures, improved dynamic lighting effects, greatly expanded enemy sound/dialog effects, and more. It's everything you loved about Death 3D and more, just rendered at a lower software based resolution and framerate, giving it that classic/retro feel that the original Death 3D was going for to begin with!

Set in the My Colony Universe, Death 3D takes place during the LIS War for Independence. You play the role of Frank Munson, an LIS operative who was captured by United Earth forces and imprisoned in the detention facility on Lunar 3. Your mission is to escape from prison, and take out as many United Earth guards as you can on the way!

Death 3D classic also supports multiplayer, both online, and splitscreen if you are using multiple gamepads. You can play in either deathmatch or co-op mode.
