This app simply shows you a preview display from your rear facing camera with the digital zoom turned to full. So whether or not the magnification effect looks good will totally depend on your camera hardware. The higher the megapixels on your camera, the better the binocular effect will be. If the zoom camera on your phone sucks, then binoculars will probably suck too, sorry to say.
Binoculars can be handy when you are in a bind on a camping trip and you just don't have a real set available.
